From about 1964/65 to 1982, 8 track tapes were a poplular medium for music. Many automobiles were outfitted with 8 track tape players and most home stereo systems has a slot for 8 track tapes. Reggae music saw a lot of releases on 8 tracks and Marley inparticular had many. All of the Island albums from Catch A Fire to Uprising were released on 8 tracks as well as several other albums. Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailers saw releases on 8 tracks tapes as well.
